Scientific, research and innovative activity
General information
One of the main directions of activities in ChITE KNUTE is the organization and carrying out of scientific researches. Among the main tasks of scientific and research work there are: the development of fundamental scientific researches in priority areas of modern science, as well as applied researches ordered by enterprises, institutions and organizations in order to solve current problems of socio-economic and innovative development, improvement of higher education in professional directions.
All scientific and research projects conducted by the scientists of the Institute are made with respect to the priority areas of the development of the economy. They meet the requirements of time and reflect processes and events happening in the economy of Ukraine and modern world.
Nowadays 138 full-time lecturers are working at the Institute. Among them there are 85 PhDs and 11 Doctors of Sciences. Scientific potential of the Institute aims to study actual economic and social problems of the region and Ukraine as a whole, working out effective management of industrial areas and enterprises.
Scientists of the Institute develop 12 scientific and research areas. In 2015 scientific and research work of the Institute under the title "Scenario forecasting of socio-economic development of cross-border regions under the conditions of civilization changes" was initiated.
Results of scientific researches are implemented in practical activity of enterprises and public institutions; are reflected in scientific papers, monographs, reports at scientific conferences and seminars; are used in education process.
In 2015 teaching staff of the Institute published 1048 scientific and methodological papers including: 13 monographs, 9 textbooks, 213 scientific papers and 234 abstracts. In particular, more than 70 papers are published in scientific journals abroad, 118 scientific papers in professional journals representing 55.4% of all publications, 61 papers in scientific journals included to the international scientometric database.
In last five years 40 monographs, 70 textbooks and 13 manuals were published by scientists of the Institute.
Academic staff of the Institute is actively involved in participation in various projects, including the development of regional programs of socio-economic development (Chernivtsi City Development Program, The Program of Small Business Support of the Region, Tourism Development Strategy); projects:
- «Eco-Carpathians – the development of eco-business in cross-border Carpathians as a way of improving of competitiveness of the economy», which is implemented under the Joint Operational Program Romania – Ukraine – Moldova (together with Chernivtsi city public union "Business-center");
- «Development of Chernivtsi city brand», supported by the German society of international cooperation GIZ;
- «Eastern Partnership Territorial Cooperation», resulted in the idea to establish a Cross-border cultural and educational resource centre Moldova - Ukraine together with the partners: Kyshyniv State Pedagogical University named after Ion Creanga, ONG “²RFFONLUS”, Foundation “Solidarity and Progress” etc.
There is professional journal "CHTEI Bulletin" that is a national publication and it is included to the list of scientific journals of Ukraine. The Bulletin is represented in the National Library of Ukraine named after V. Vernadskyi, international scienometric databases "Russian scientific citation index" and Ulrichs Web ProQuest. Also it is indexed in Google Scholar and Index Copernicus.
Students of the Institute are actively involved in scientific and research work, Olympiads, contests of scientific projects, student scientific conferences, round tables and festivals where they present their reports and publish scientific papers.
To enhance scientific creativity of students, to develop their skills and to support scientific potential Scientific Society of young scientists and students, debating club "Strategy", Bartender School, Pastry School, School of Culinary Art and Services, School of Healthy Lifestyle, tourism club "Plai", 9 scientific clubs are actively operate at the Institute and involve more that 300 students.
Each year students publish over 600 scientific papers and abstracts in the journals of the Institute and scientific journals of other educational establishments and abroad.
Scientific schools of Professors M. Yurii and V. Kyfiak are successfully operated at the Institute.
The Institute organizes national and international scientific conferences for students and academic staff, methodical seminars, webinars, round tables, etc. They attract a lot of participants not only from all over Ukraine, but also from Russia, Poland, Romania, Moldova, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Belarus, Kazakhstan and others. The results of the conferences are published in scientific journals.
